“Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.” ― Ann Lander

I have a teaching degree from Lesley College where I specialized in Elementary and Special Education.  I taught for several years in Philadelphia while getting a Masters in Elementary Guidance and Counseling from Villanova University.  I moved to Cincinnati where I spent three years in the business world. As my daughters entered school, I returned to Marywood University to pursue my high school guidance certificate and additional training in psychology and counseling.  For the next twenty years, I worked in a variety of settings including community, school, and residential facilities.

I moved from the Pocono area of Pennsylvania in July 2014 to escape the cold weather and be closer to my daughter and grandson.  In addition to private practice, I am the mental health counselor at St. Johns Technical High School for six through twelfth grade students.  I enjoy working with adults who have a variety of life experiences to share.  The transitions that adults face through the different ages are a challenge and I want to assist them with that journey.
