Sakina McCoy

Sakina McCoy, LMHC

I understand sometimes life throws us some curve balls and many times hard obstacles that can sometimes be difficult to navigate, and I want to help with that. I have several years of experience working with children, preteens, teenagers, and adults from various communities with a wide range of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, anger management, PTSD, phase of life problems, family conflict, and personality disorders with various populations and age groups.

I have found that my performance is driven by challenge and undeterred by obstacles. I am committed to furthering the standards of mental health treatment. I take pride in presenting that I have expert experience in administering psychosocial assessments, designing individualized treatment plans, leading interventions, and I am currently actively pursuing a Doctor of Psychology.

Being a navy veteran, I also understand the demands of being a veteran and of being connected to one, and I would be honored to help in that area. I come from a very diverse background, and that has been a catalyst to understanding different cultures and populations.

From defining patient goals, building trusting relationships, and my extensive experience in therapeutic counseling, I have made a profound contribution to the mental health field. With my expertise in supporting adults experiencing challenges such as addiction, psychosocial stressors, and mental illness to adolescents seeking my guidance, and my extensive strengths in communication, I continue to be a highly sought-after mental health therapist. If you are ready to start your healing journey, contact me. I would love to hear from you! It would be my privilege.
